Something to think about:
If you're seriously looking for a wedding photographer, remember this:
When your big day is over, all your planning has been executed, the guest are making their way home, and you're merrily on your way to your hotel with your new wife or husband, nothing you paid for that night/day will ever be seen again except for your photographs.
If you're on Craigslist looking for a professional photographer, you either don't know too many people or your budget is not the greatest, so I want you think about this a lot:
Your venue is probably going to cost you between 5K-10K. Guess what? Once the night is over, that money is gone.
Your flowers unless you know somebody, and if you choose a real bouquet, is going to cost you about a grand or two, give or take a couple of hundred dollars. Guess what? they'll wilt by the morning after. Most of them will find their way to the garbage at the end of the night.
Your DJ, if you're not playing music through Bluetooth on an ION speaker via your smart phone, would cost - if you're really penny pinching - between $200-$400. And even if you splurge, the same thing will happen: he will leave and you won't have any traces of the music he played that night.
Your make up artist - if you don't trust your best friend to apply your make up - will probably run you around $100-$600! The irony is you're extraordinarily gorgeous throughout the day, but the make up washes away half way through the reception!
